McCain Ads Get Even Worse…

Now after being Paris Hilton and Britney Spears at the same time they’re going to ‘tone it down’ a bit, and compare him to Neo from The Matrix and Moses. I’m not sure how much more ‘toned down’ this one might be, instead of comparing Obama to real people he’s not being compared to characters in fictional stories (though it’s likely Moses did exist there’s no proof). Not only is McCain playing the race card and the celebrity card, he’s playing the fictional character card. It’s a risky move, going after those fictional character voters, they normally only spend their time voting for Mickey Mouse and Buzz Lightyear, maybe this year they’ll pick John McCain.

At the end the video tells you that he’s probably Neo, but the only question they have is “But is he ready to lead?”. You just told me he was the one, even though I believe he is ready to lead should it matter at this point? You’re making a video mocking manifest destiny and then you want to question that destiny, I think John McCain has an Oedipus complex. In all likelihood if John McCain didn’t make this ad he may have stood a chance, but now that he has he’s all but sealed his fate. Manifest destiny is what it is, and you can’t change it, and in the story of Oedipus the only reason he killed his father and married his mother was because he was trying not to. John McCain is no different, he’s only going to lose to Obama because he’s trying to make people not vote for Obama, even if those people don’t vote for Obama they sure as hell won’t be voting for McCain.

I mean, this is the best political ad ever, I think next McCain should compare Obama to a space alien next, ya!
